Concept-based learning

Developed by H. Lynn Erickson and Lois Lanning, concept-based curriculum operates on three levels: factual, conceptual, and debatable. Students develop transferable understanding they can apply to new contexts, moving beyond topic coverage to disciplinary understanding.

A curriculum and instruction model that structures learning around transferable concepts and generalisations rather than topics alone.
