Flipped classroom

The flipped classroom (Bergmann and Sams) uses video or other media to deliver content instruction outside class. The model's effectiveness depends on what replaces lecture time — passive video for homework is not improvement if class time remains passive too.

A blended learning model in which direct instruction is moved outside class time, freeing class time for practice and discussion.
