Think Pair Share

Think Pair Share (Frank Lyman, 1981) is one of the most widely used cooperative learning strategies. The individual think time is the most critical phase — without it, the 'pair' phase defaults to the more confident student's answer.

Students think individually, discuss with a partner, then share with the class.
